| 1)
Using chisels, carve a block of smooth soft wood with an image. 2) Bear in mind: everything you carve away will be white. 3) Bear in mind: everything left uncarved will be black. 4) Bear in mind: it all prints backwards. 5) Ink the woodcut with block printing ink, using a brayer. 6) Press a piece of paper upside-down onto the inked woodcut. 7) Press evenly, remove evenly. Allow to dry. |
